After planting churches in western Ukraine in the 1990s, our founder, Tom Jackson, sensed God's call to return to Europe. He and Jean and a team moved to Scotland in 2005, planted a church in Edinburgh, and in 2008, planted a church in Bathgate.

But more than planting churches himself, Tom realized that answering the gospel need in Europe would require many more missionaries and church planters to be called, trained, funded, and deployed. In reflecting on his previous church planting experience, he observed that often missionaries and church planters working in Europe face unique personal, ministry, and cultural challenges in advancing the gospel.

It is our conviction that financial partnership and logistical support should serve, not hinder, the missionary task. We believe that missionaries should focus on ministry, not administration. Missionaries should be free to minister, reach lost people, plant new churches, and advance God’s gospel to new cities. Through partnerships with our missionaries, the body of Christ can extend God's love in Europe through Christ-centered churches.

CECP's purpose is to help mobilize missionaries and church planters for gospel work in Europe. Today, CECP missionaries are working in several European nations.
