Mire Gordon-Harris

Summer Mission to Bathgate, Scotland

This summer we have an incredible opportunity to reach a generation of children and families in Scotland, some of whom will have never heard the Gospel before. We will support and serve Centrepoint Church in Bathgate during their week of Holiday Club (VBS) and family outreach program.

We also have the privilege of being the first mission team on the ground following the purchase and redemption of an old church building in the heart of the community. Along with running outreach and evangelism events, we will also have the opportunity to inspire and equip the next generation for ministry.

Having lived on 3 continents (Europe, Africa, and North America) Mire has witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of a life without Christ. As a result, Mire is now passionate about prayer and teaching about the kingdom of God to children of all ages. She serves in the Children’s ministry at her local church, empowering 5th and 6th graders to become who God has called them to be. “Who am I”? is a group she also co-leads for young girls (aged 8-12) searching for their identity in Christ.

She says, “This opportunity to serve at Bathgate with my children presented itself after much prayer. I am also excited to return to the UK where I first encountered Christ.”

Mire obtained her degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Westminster in the UK and completed ACCA (UK equivalent to the US CPA) before moving to Nashville, TN where she lives with her husband and two children: Kirsten 13, and Isaiah 11.
